Vinoperfect and AXIS-Y solve the same dark-spot job. They do not share a formula.
Caudalie Vinoperfect is a prestige dark-spot serum built around the brand’s Viniferine positioning. AXIS-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum is a 5% niacinamide and squalane daily serum. Same broad problem, different active systems, sizes, prices and purchase surfaces.
What Vinoperfect actually is
| Product | Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Dark Spot Serum |
|---|---|
| Size and US price checked | 30 ml / US$82; the official page also showed a 50 ml option |
| Brand’s hero active | Viniferine, a vine-sap-derived extract that Caudalie positions as a vitamin C alternative |
| Published INCI signals | Squalane, bisabolol, and Palmitoyl Grapevine Shoot Extract; Parfum (Fragrance) is also listed |
| Availability checked | Caudalie US page showed Add to bag; price and stock can change |
Viniferine is Caudalie’s named active and marketing position, not a literal INCI string to search for. The official list instead includes Palmitoyl Grapevine Shoot Extract. That distinction matters: an ingredient list cannot establish that another serum contains Viniferine just because both products target dark spots.
Caudalie’s page also publishes its own clinical and in-vitro claims. We do not turn those brand claims into a promise that AXIS-Y, or any other serum, produces the same result.
What AXIS-Y actually is
| Product | AXIS-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum |
|---|---|
| Size and retailer price checked | 50 ml; YesStyle Korea showed ₩17,453 sale / ₩23,270 regular |
| Brand’s hero active | 5% niacinamide with squalane and botanical extracts |
| Published INCI signals | Water, glycerin, niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, squalane, rice bran, calendula, papaya and sea buckthorn extracts |
| Availability checked | AXIS-Y’s official page showed Sold Out; its official retailer list includes YesStyle, whose 50 ml listing showed In-Stock |
AXIS-Y’s formula is a niacinamide-led daily serum. The official list does not show Viniferine or Palmitoyl Grapevine Shoot Extract. It does show a different supporting system, including humectants, squalane, botanical extracts, allantoin and rosemary leaf oil.
The different availability surfaces are part of the buying decision. “Sold out on the brand site” does not mean “unavailable everywhere,” and a retailer’s stock or currency does not establish a permanent price.

Same job, different chemistry
If the request means “a serum for dark spots or uneven tone,” AXIS-Y fits the broad job. If it means “the Viniferine product,” it does not. Squalane appears in both lists, but a shared common emollient is not a formula match.
| Vinoperfect | AXIS-Y Dark Spot Serum | |
|---|---|---|
| Broad job | Dark spots / uneven tone serum | Daily dark-spot / tone serum |
| Hero system | Viniferine positioning; Palmitoyl Grapevine Shoot Extract in the listed INCI | 5% niacinamide, squalane and botanical extracts |
| Size and price checked | 30 ml / US$82 at Caudalie US | 50 ml / ₩17,453 sale at YesStyle Korea |
| Formula notes | Squalane, bisabolol and Parfum (Fragrance) | Humectants, squalane, botanicals, allantoin and rosemary leaf oil |
| On this site | Original | Job match, not a Viniferine formula copy |
What the price gap does — and does not — prove
These are not like-for-like price calculations: the bottles are 30 ml and 50 ml, the currencies differ, and one snapshot is a brand store while the other is a retailer promotion. Taxes, shipping, country settings, stock and promotions can change the checkout total. The numbers show why AXIS-Y can be a lower entry price, not that it is better value or clinically equivalent.
How to choose the job
- Want Viniferine specifically? AXIS-Y is not the substitute. Read the official ingredient list and use the Caudalie product page.
- Want a Korean daily tone serum? AXIS-Y is the clearer job match, with 5% niacinamide and a 50 ml retailer purchase path checked above.
- Need to avoid a particular ingredient? Compare the package in your market. Caudalie lists Parfum (Fragrance); AXIS-Y lists rosemary leaf oil. Neither label should be simplified into a blanket “sensitive-skin safe” claim.
Related dark-spot and brightening comparisons
Several searches use “brightening” for different chemistry. Keep the active and the job separate:
- SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense vs Anua — TXA, kojic acid and niacinamide versus a different TXA stack.
- SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic vs Korean vitamin C options — L-ascorbic acid versus vitamin C derivatives.
- EltaMD UV Clear vs Korean sunscreen options — daily SPF is a different job from a dark-spot serum.
What this page is not saying
We are not saying AXIS-Y contains Viniferine, copies Vinoperfect’s formula, delivers the same results, or is the best serum for every skin type. We are saying the products address a similar broad shopping problem through different published ingredient systems. Cosmetic lists, prices and availability change.
